Winter Season is Here!

The colours of the leaves are changing, weekend visits to the sea have ceased, new study abroad students who arrived in September are now well immersed in their studies and projects; there’s a sort of fresh crispness to the air and if you haven’t done so already – it’s definitely hitting sweater, scarf and boots season.Winter in Florence

Needless to say, the winter season means a time for change and it also means low tourism season in Florence, this being from November to the end of February. In fact, it can become so quiet that only during the Christmas holidays will you see a tiny increase of people filtering in and out of the streets in the city centre, most likely for some gift shopping.

Despite all this however, Florencetown is one of the few tour operators that continue to run throughout the year. With this in mind, they continue to bring you some of the best and most important tours that offer you an enjoyable, cost-effective and interesting way to discover the city of Florence.

All-Year Round Available Tours include:

Walking Tour

Inferno tour

Uffizi and Vasari Corridor Tour

Cooking Class: Wanna be Italiano

Cooking Class: Pizza and Gelato

Wine Tour in Chianti

These are only six great reasons to come to visit Florence during our winter season, not to mention that you can enjoy your vacation sans the hustle and bustle of all the large tour groups that operate during the rest of the year. So, as long as you are comfortable with a bit of the cooler weather (the fashion is also fantastic at this time of year if you’re into that kind of thing), then feel free to contact us and remember that our information should also be readily available at your hotel. Our office will be open 7 days a week from 9 am to 6 pm.

If you’re lucky, you may even wake up one morning to discover a beautiful white roof!

Ci sentiamo and best winter wishes from the Florencetown staff!
